Aqua Teen Terrorists?

The guys who were responsible for this, decided to speak, well, uh, sort of, speak to the media about their involvement in a publicity stunt for a cartoon network show that mobilized counter terrorism efforts in Boston.

I would love your opinion on this.  Do you think this is harmless fun?  Wise guys who need to be slapped around? Guys that crossed lines and ought to be prosecuted as criminals?

I suppose we need to ask the family of the person in the car wreck who died because emergency crews were late responding because they were too busy defusing fake bombs.

Did that happen?
I have no idea, but it's a very probable hypothetical.

Wild story, indeed. Here's my 4-step solution:

1) I think Ted Turner needs to pay up Big Time for all the money this cost the city of Boston. We're talking at least $1mil.

2) I think those two jokers need to spend at least 2-3 months in the pen with that really hairy, smelly, fat guy who likes to have a special friend around as a punching bag. They may not be terrorists, but they do need an attitude overhaul.

3) The city of Boston needs to give itself a reality check. Those signs had apparently been up for weeks! And the same signs were apparently up in other cities as well. The police need to keep better files on pop-culture sects so they can remedy practical jokes without calling in the big guns. Preventing mass panic is never a bad idea.

4) Cartoon Network needs to drop the Adult Swim block all together and start making quality cartoons that are well-written, and appropriate for all audiences. Bring back Toonami! Huzzah!

Peace out, my brother.

Well, given the fact that these "devices" as the media like to call them have been plastered all over San Antonio for a few weeks now, I think I am going to reserve judgement until there is more information to be had. We are very much still in the "outrage generation" stage of the news cycle. Knowing how trustworthy the media are to not take quotes out of context to make a nice soundbite (not very)I thought their approach was a whole lot more interesting than, "No Comment." At least one of the reporters got creative and asked if the dude would have to have his hair cut if he went to Prison for this, and did that concern him. I think in a week, we will see that this was much sound and fury indicating nothing. If you don't want a pair of dirty hippies to do these kinds of things, and it's really "terror" related, send them to Gitmo.
