OK, one last tech post for this Saturday while I sit in the Detroit airport...Google announced last week and Open Handset operating system which is being called Android. Not sure if I like the name but it is an interesting development.

With any luck, a standard SDK of some kind will improve the quality of software available for smartphones, and adopting a Linux-based O/S across platforms seems like a great idea in this space, given the limited power of the processors and the video adapters in this size/price range (though I understand Nvidia is working on some better embedded stuff).
