A friend put me on to a trailer for an upcoming documentary entitled "Second Skin" which features the lives of several people who are addicted to massively multiplayer online role-playing games (mmorpg). These games immerse players into online worlds and communities which consume massive time and resources. The most popular combine fantasy worlds, powers, quests etc. World of Warcraft is one of the most well known. Anyway, the trailer for the documentary is below.
Looks to shed some interesting light on the world of the gamers in your life. For those not familiar with games such as WoW you may recognize the world from this Toyota Tacoma Commercial

Hmm... does this mean I should delete my level 67 paladin on World of Warcraft?

No, :) but maybe...with anything I would want to be disciplined with it and weigh it against other life priorities. If you are spending 1/4 of your life on it - repent. If an hour or so a day...not so bad.
Keep in mind 1 Cor 6:12 “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful for me,” but I will not be enslaved by anything.
If something is not sin in itself, but is taking over life, or even has the potential too - it needs moderation and our lives accountable in community. You need brothers who will say "Ross, you spend too much time on WoW and not very much time reading Scripture"
So, examine your time, priorities etc. and if thou playest too much video games...knock it it off. Remember as well that time is something we must steward, we give an account to God for it...so choose wisely.
Finally, if you sense i n your conscience that you need to delete your level 67 because you are an addict - by all means delete. A drunk should stay out of the bar.

Amen Reid, well put! I have definitely given much thought to things like this since I became a Christian. I think you sum it up perfectly when you say to remember we must give an account for all things we've done.
But on a somewhat related note: A few of us Inverted dudes have recently taken the game up and formed a guild called "Crusaders for Christ". There have been a few times where we've been able to share Christ with the world... of warcraft. It's kind of a weird place to share the gospel but I definitely believe God could use it if he wanted to.
PS: If I played an hour every day I would hate myself. I'm not such a dedicated gamer anymore :).
