To Cap or Not to CAP
Michael Haykin has decided to keep the ALL CAPS TITLES on his blog - See Historia ecclesiastica
He offers an excellent reason (Design. It just looks better. I think I agree) and a fine argument from Gordon Woods who applied net courtesy with more wisdom. All Caps is not a Sin. Plus, he is not writing the titles to or at people - that would be yelling. So, for the sake of design and good looking headers I conceed the point. Just use all caps with wisdom within posts and comments and never all cap anyone in e-mail unless you really want to yell.
Dr. Haykin is no yelling 21st century church historian - he just wants his blog to look cool. And I'm cool with that.
Vista...Only Six Choices
OK, I was wrong before. Microsoft will only be offering six, not eight, versions of its Windows Vista Operating System. If I could find software on the MAC that can conver MS Publisher files, I might make the big switch. Though as with such religious conversions, I need to count all the costs before putting my fingers upon the Mac keyboard. Here is the Reuters' release:

My favorite Christmas Present
File this under the "more evidence that I am weird" category. After much of my complaining about all these plastic bowls and lids creeping in, out and over our counters, my wife surprised me with a Christmas gift. Yes, this is one of those deals that only the blessed the sleepless watching infomericials may know about. The vaunted Smartspin storage system!
Yes, when I unwrapped this, I scratched my head as if to say "this is for me? But after the installation today, I knew my wife did love me very much.
Now, I just put some chili in these, we'll see how well they hold shape, whether they will absorb colors from food (chili is a good test), and "dishwasher safe" they really are.
And no, they did not pay me to write this - I was just thankful for this practical little household product.

A Wonderful Providence - A Rare Convergence
With the holiday season of downtime converging with the cranking out a bunch of e-mails while watching the Fiesta Bowl tonight - the Lord God has wrought something wonderful in my life which I think has maybe happened but one time before.
